Information we process

Website submissions and scan results. When you request a preview or scan, we process the website address you submit, redirects, publicly accessible page content, screenshots, and layout information needed to produce your report.

Please submit only public websites you are authorized to test. Do not submit passwords, access tokens, private links, or addresses containing confidential or sensitive information.

Technical and security information. Our hosting infrastructure processes information such as IP addresses, browser information, request timestamps, and diagnostic records. The scanner temporarily holds IP addresses and request timestamps in server memory to limit excessive requests. Diagnostic messages may include website addresses and error details.

Website usage information. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits to Duo Preview. It may process information about pages visited on Duo Preview, referring websites, timestamps, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type.

Communications. If you contact us, we process your contact details and the information you provide.

How we use information

We use information to provide previews and scan reports, understand website usage, improve the service, troubleshoot problems, manage capacity, prevent abuse, respond to inquiries, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Hosting and analytics

Vercel hosts Duo Preview and provides website delivery, infrastructure, and diagnostic services.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate website usage statistics. It does not use analytics cookies. Vercel uses a short-lived identifier derived from incoming requests to distinguish visitors, rather than an identifier that tracks them across different websites.

We do not use Google Analytics or send submitted website domains or page paths as custom analytics events.

Live previews and third-party websites

A live preview loads the submitted website in your browser. That website and its providers may receive your IP address and browser information and may use their own cookies or tracking technologies.

Information you enter and actions you take inside a live preview are handled by the displayed website, under its own terms and privacy policies. Avoid entering sensitive information or completing transactions through a preview.

Automated scans also request content from the submitted website and supporting services. Those services may record the scanner’s requests.

We do not control third-party websites or their privacy practices.

Information sharing

We provide information to service providers supporting hosting and analytics as described above.

We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the service, our users, or others. If our business is transferred or reorganized, relevant information may be transferred subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

Retention

Reports and screenshots are generated on demand and returned to your browser. The current service does not maintain a persistent report archive or scan-history database. Copies you download remain on your device until you delete them.

Temporary processing, security records, hosting logs, and analytics statistics are separate from the displayed report. Their retention depends on their purpose, the applicable service configuration, and provider practices.

Vercel describes its analytics visitor identifier as lasting up to 24 hours. This does not mean all aggregate analytics statistics or hosting logs are deleted after 24 hours.

We retain communications and other records as needed for support, security, legal obligations, and dispute resolution.

Your choices and rights

You can choose which public website addresses to submit and whether to interact with a live preview. Browser privacy controls and tracking protections may limit some data collection.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, or complain to a data protection authority.

Send requests to hello@avatarnewyork.com with the subject “Duo Preview Privacy.” We may need information to verify your identity and locate relevant records. Please do not include passwords or sensitive identification documents in your initial message.

We cannot delete downloaded copies on your device or information independently held by websites you preview.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, subject to applicable data protection requirements.

Children

Duo Preview is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required by law.
